The client brief was ‘wow factor’.
The requirement for their new office was to incorporate features that made the space interesting to work in, both visually and functionally. Making the most of the natural light with no obstructions was also fundamental.
One of the key focus areas for the client was the point of entry to the office space, they did not want, or require, a traditional reception so we introduced an etched glass panel within a walnut surround. The etching is a back lit map showing CFA client locations around the world. This fulfilled the brief, from initial entry into the space you have unobstructed views of the office space, creating the desired open feel.
The office styling is corporate without being too formal, there are collaborative spaces for ‘away from the desk’ time and informal meetings and the finishes are walnut wood with more casual furniture pieces and fabric colours.
The Tea Point finishes create a calming bright space with white gloss units and textured splashback tiles – there is a mix of seating including a high back banquette which also doubles up as an extra informal meeting space. The walkway to the Meeting Room suites follows the angle of the floor plate, with the corridor to the perimeter giving light to the space and an interesting play with shadows.
