Denton Associates have teamed up with RPMI for the second time to design and build their London office space
RPMI had outgrown their previous Denton-designed office, both in staff capacity and meeting facilities, and selected Denton again after a tender process.
Important factors in winning the pitch were a scheme that reflected the new brand direction, a good team/client relationship and an uncomplicated approach to both the design and presentation.
The brief dictated the need for a functional office with more meeting facilities, whilst incorporating subtle hints of RPMI’s branding, within an environment that encouraged vigour and enthusiasm.
The design was very focussed on seamlessly weaving the RPMI brand throughout the design in both the imagery seen on the hallway walls depicting a railway that RPMI have particular involvement with, as well as the company’s colours appearing on the manifestation, furniture fabrics, feature ceiling pendants and all doors and frames. The meeting spaces that were designed were versatile enough to be opened up into a large 32 person meeting room.
Jayne Pattison, senior designer on the project, was most proud of the reception space and commented, “the client’s old reception area was an internal space with no natural light – an aspect which I successfully included for them in their new space. The reception I designed for the pitch was liked by the client so much that their were no design changes.”
